Title or Location: Vincent's Viewpoint
?Vincent?s Viewpoint? depicts the 11th century Monastery Saint-Paul de Mausole in St Remy, France. It was here in 1889 that Van Gogh stayed for roughly a year. His bedroom window was the 2nd from the left on the top floor. When I took the photo upon which this painting is based, I knew immediately I had to paint it. Walking in the Master?s footsteps was an incredibly moving experience for me. I would have liked to meet him, maybe have a go at easing his troubled mind. 19? x 13?, oil on canvas

Title or Location: A drawing from a photo at 7th and Main Street in Louisville
This image I loved. And my strength in art is drawing buildings. So I thought, with the magnificent contrast of golden colors, this would make an amazing line art drawing washed with watercolors. It is currently hanging at the Galt House hotel.

Title or Location: The Delegate
This painting is the latest addition to my Animals with Hats series. The series focuses on animals wearing hats that somewhat fit the personality of the subject animal. This painting depicts a pig at a political convention proudly displaying its boater (a traditional hat worn by delegates). I thought that this particular painting was topical in that we are in the thick of a rather contentious political season. The painting does not embrace a particular political party. Rather it hopefully shows

Title or Location: Grangemouth oil refinery
It was a day out at Culross a very picturesque historic town in Fife. Because of the olde ye appearance it has featured in the TV series Outlander and the film of the book Kidnapped written by Robert Louis Stevenson?s. The whole place is photogenic. I had a thought about all the artists and photographers that have graced the its streets and it must be in thousands. I wonder how many have ever produced a rendering of the oil refinery on the other bank of the Forth.

Title or Location: Passing Storms
Clouds fascinate me, constantly changing shape and color. This painting is of the front pasture with a dash of artistic license. The willow tree towers in the middle of a wet weather creek and begged to be painted.(There is no box for my website, so I hesitated to input it, but would appreciate a mention if allowed....FeliciaLWhite.com. Thanks.)

I love painting little creatures. I have been a working artist all of my life but never had the chance to perfect my skills in artistry. Now that I am retired, I find myself painting something every day with acrylics, watercolors, and or inks. I started painting on terracotta pots, then started making my hand-crafted paper to paint on, and then to tea bags and now painting little ornaments. My friends say that I paint on anything but canvas. This is true!

When I started this painting , I was talking to a friend of mine who said that my paintings were a mixture of real and surreal. I grew up an avid reader, and read every book they had on fantasy and Greek Gods and Goddesses.. I feel imagination keeps us young, and I?m still looking for the leprechauns in my forest&128513
